Thompson Chemists finally got to meet Mr. Jean-Francois Lazartigue at the Lazartigue boutique on Madison Ave in NYC. What a privilege to learn hair revitalizing techniques from the man himself. A true celebration for this was one our first shampoo lines going back to 1994. As a matter of fact legend has it that Jolie and Gary sold their car, a red 1990 Chrysler Lebaron to pay for the opening order.

They got good usage out of that car and its spirit still runs through our shelves.

Happily

you don’t need to sell your car or anything else to pamper your hair with these products.

A simple luxury

Fall and early winter are my favorite time of the year. I love the crispness of October and the chill of November. I get to break out all my handknits, plus, all of my favorite holidays come at this time of the year: my birthday, Halloween and Thanksgiving, in that order…

But what I don’t like about Winter is the winter skin blues. This is a topic I have revisited on several occasions because I am always coming up with new ways to battle it! This year I’ve decided to try making moisturizing a routine, and in order to make it more of a pleasure than a chore I have chosen the lovely, gentle, perfume of Embryolisse. It is rich yet delicate, making it perfect for daily application. An email that we just recieved:

Having tried the new “Sharps” shave gel from Thompson Chemists I must say:
1.) no fake foam, it goes on clear so you can see what you’re shaving
2.) evidently it contains lanolin (goat pic on the product–it takes me a while to notice the obvious), so repeated strokes still don’t cause razor burn and the viscosity (fluid texture) is perfect for the effective beard cutting.
3.) the lanolin blend washes off squeaky clean, but soft, after the shave.
It gets my endorsement for sure.
