All I need is Nuxe and a little imagination …

So it’s 20°F in New York City, but if you ask me, it’s feeling more like -5°F! All I can think about is being somewhere sunny…

But instead I’m stuck with extra layering, a stuffy nose, and not to mention, dry skin… So in efforts to calm my winter blues I picked up the Nuxe: Creme Fraiche Moisturizing Energizing Emulsion (Dry) tester and viola *does a French accent* :P  a moisturizer that does the job ALL day! It goes on light and has a fresh and clean smell that wont irritate the skin. We’re talking 24hr moisture that won’t leave that 3 sweater layering feeling on your face. :) Eight Plant Milks and four balancing Essential Oils that leave my skin oh so refreshed and hydrated in the cold winter wind. This  2.1 fl oz jar of goodness helps trap water deep within the skin to replenish the skin with ongoing moisture.

So maybe I can’t turn snow to sand and I won’t be able to go tanning anytime soon but with a little help from our friends at NUXE Paris and my Mac, I can always be at the beach when the sun is about to set. ;)

My Wish-list: A few Suggestions for You Holiday Shoppers

Holidays are near, and were all running around looking for that perfect gift for those lucky few. So we, here at Thompson Alchemists, are posting our own holiday wish list to give you a few gift suggestions. Heres a few things of what I would like under my tree…

The first item on my wish list is a NEW Astara productthe Astara AHA Nutrient Toning Essence which doubles as a quick cleanser,  perfect for those on the go! The grapefruit essence will not only hydrate the skin, locking in the moisturizer, but also minimize your pores.  Astara is my favorite skincare line because its good for all ages, so listen up last minute shoppers, you can get this for the whole family!

Next on my wish list are the very prettily packaged SedaFrace candles and soaps so pretty you can forget about the extra gift wrapping… but for those of you that like the gift wrapping, stop by Alchemists or Chemists and we’ll provide FREE gift wrapping with any purchase all through the holidays! :) My favorite happens to be The Asian Pear Three-Wick Candle Tinbut I guarantee that all of their fragrances will make for a great smelling gift.

Now for the Stocking Stuffers ! What I hope to find in my stocking is Essie Good to Go Top Coat; now this will be a life saver because I always seem to convince myself that 2 minutes is enough drying time  ( lies… :(  ) and have to reapply my nail polish millions of times after messing up my nails. So if you know someone abusing nail polish coats  get them this top coat that will dry their nails in seconds. Another great stocking stuffer is the Lioele Eyeshadow Stick. These eyeshadow sticks are great for new makeup users. The fun, fresh, vibrant colors, my favorite the Light Pink ,  really pop, K POP ;)

Died and went to exfoliating heaven …

How do we remove those dead skin cells, dirt and all that other icky stuff without damaging our skin? Once again my favorite skincare line, Astara, has come to the rescue with Astara Daily Refining Scrub. Providing the best solution for exfoliation without irritating the skin. Sensitive skin? Use this with a little bit of Astara Botanical Cleansing Gelé to create an amazing lather and alter the level of abrasiveness. Lets not forget I’m all about the pleasing the senses. Its fresh grapefruit essence not only refreshes the skin but the therapeutic aroma HELLO! And the texture has to be my favorite part of the experience, as you rub this onto your fingers you feel the finest grains and I mean toes in the sand fine grains! This scrub is so pure and gentle that it, just like all the other Astara products, can be used interchangeably with all your other skin care lines. The antioxidants, the hydration, the exfoliation, how can you not love Astara?

P.s I must warn you that you might never use any other scrub again! :)

Other great poducts from ASTARA:

Astara: Botanical Eye Treatment
